London (26/7/2011) - Moixa Technology today quietly released a new website on their transformational new smart DC Energy technologies for reducing energy bills and solving grid-peak load challenges.
The web-site provides a detailed introduction to Moixa technology and solutions for homes, small business and accomodation sector, case studies and trials, grant R&D activity. The site also provides a 'Beta Trial' system configurator - allowing invited trial site users to build a virtual system, select components, and contact to discuss requirements.
Moixa founders previously invented and launched the award winning USBCELL re-usable battery category, winning design awards alongside Apple, and have previously invented numerous advanced portable devices, such as folding keyboards (selling millions of units)
Moixa Technology aims to help reduce bills and grid peak, by shifting DC lighting, ICT and electronics off-peak to local renewables or batteries charged at low tariff times. The technology reduces the inverter and AC/DC lossess, provides smart control and local energy resilience against power outages/cuts.
As the world gets increasingly connected, with the internet of connected devices expected to rise from 6bn to 50bn devices by the end of the decade, there will be increasing energy waste. Currently inverters and AC/DC adaptors waste over 1 trillion kwh a year, and ignore the opportunity of being powered efficiently from local renewables.
In fact this century is seeing an increased shift to DC (Direct Current) power usage, with billions of portable devices, computing, electronics and now LED Lighting. DC devices can account for 20-30% of domestic peak load, and a higher proportion of daily power use, as media and computing are left on throughout the day. This will rise to nearer 45-50% per home by 2020 according to research from the UK Energy Savings Trust.
This means that Moixa Technology Smart DC solutions, could be dramatic in helping households power their lighting, electronics, computing and gadgets, and saving 30%+ off bills, and helping reduce the challenges on national infrastructure at peak times.
