We're different from other energy management or renewable energy companies.

Firstly: We believe an energy company should actually provide low cost, low carbon energy, and not just  'energy data' or 'management'. In fact just talking about energy is quite dull, annoying and not persistent at reducing energy use.

Secondly: We believe solutions should be affordable and accessible, not just for households with large roofs for Feed in Tariff PV panels, or who can afford expensive smart home technology. In fact we want to help you get as much grant and Green Deal support and join a national movement to reduce energy and carbon.

Thirdly: We believe technology should be well-designed, appropriate to current renewable innovation and focused on the power use which is growing - modern day electronics and lighting. We want solutions to be future proof and impactful on where bills are going to increase.

Above all we want to put you in charge, allow systems to be configured easily to your need, upgraded in stages, and provide you the freedom to control and reduce your energy use and bills.

Energy Innovation

To achieve this, we've come up with an idea and a powerful set of technologies, that reduce what we term "the longtail" of energy consumption and grid peak. 

We want to start by powering all the things you use everyday, like lighting, computers, mobile phones, gadgets, electronics, in the most efficient way. Perhaps starting in a home office or media environment or powering household lighting. These are often used at peak times, when energy supply is most stretched, or are often left on all day, such as computers, wifi, printers, sometimes even lights.

What's interesting is most of these are already low power DC devices, requiring wasteful AC/DC adadptors, or could be changed to new low power DC solutions, such as DC LED lighting, and that the number of household devices that are like this are growing exponentially (as evidenced by the shear number of bulky AC/DC adadptors, extension plugs and leads in homes). We're changing this. 

Moixa Home Energy solutions, will power these from easy to install microgeneration such as window or wall based solar PV panels, or batteries which charge off-peak when energy is cheaper. It works through providing a Smart DC network for powering lights and electronics via existing household lighting circuits or smart DC sockets in the room or around the home for electronics.

Energy is likely to get very expensive at peak times. Households will have smart meters that show energy use but will also likely pass on the higher cost of peak energy. The idea is that consumers will choose to stop using certain appliances at peak times, such as when they get home from work, or perhaps watch eastenders on iPlayer later or alternatively buy an expensive new smart appliance such as a washing machine or fridge that switches off at high price times.

We don't believe in such sticks. We believe in solutions, and our technology will enable to use Lighting and Electronics when you want to and avoid paying peak prices, as the energy will largely come from solar energy stored earlier in the day, or in batteries charged when tariffs are low. Furthermore the system ensures that energy is provided highly efficiently without the significant losses in conversion.

Our systems also provide you with a 21st century remote control, allowing you to see energy use or turn off devices from smartphones or the web, or from anywhere in the world. As you see results (see your bill go down) we'll recommend other ways or appliances that could be improved when they become cost-effective or hit their natural replacement point. Or as new technologies become cost-effective, will calculate whether they could be appropriate and help you save money.
